Résumé:
Some media like titanium alloy contain grain structure that make detection of defects very difficult. In this case, the D.O.R.T. method is a good solution to separate the echo of the defect from the microstructure contribution. Results illustrating the detection of flat bottom holes (FBH) with different diameters located at 100 mm and 140 mm depth in a titanium alloy sample will be presented.
